The length of the surgery varies from 4 – 8 hours depending on the range of procedures being performed.
Who is a candidate for sex change surgery?
The requirements are for the patient to be physically healthy and over the age of 20. The patient must have a strong desire to undergo the surgery for personal reasons and must have undergone twelve months of counseling to ascertain that they are psychologically ready for the alteration. At the same time the patient must live one full year as a full time, real life experience as the opposite gender whilst undergoing hormone therapy.
How is the surgery performed?
